Cytoplan's kelp supplement consists of Ascophyllum nodosum. Brown algae not only contain iodine, but are also a very valuable source of many other minerals, trace elements, micro-nutrients and vitamins, prebiotics and carotenoids. This mixture acts as a catalyst in the body, triggering vital enzyme reactions.

Kelp is rich in natural iodine, which helps maintain normal thyroid function.  Normal thyroid function, in turn, is important for balancing the metabolism and maintaining an optimal body weight.
