UnoCardio® SAFFRON contains a stable Spanish saffron extract that is unique in its extraction technology and is standardized with the content of the active ingredient crocin.  This allows to preserve the properties of the active ingredient crocin in this product.  Crocin is the substance that gives saffron its characteristic color. However, it is not stable in heat, i.e. when used in warm foods, for example, crocin breaks down.  Unocardio Saffron uses such a saffron extract that helps to preserve these properties well.
